YOKUCHI SHŌKA BACTERIA is a professional-grade bacterial product containing natural-origin nitrifying bacteria strains that rapidly colonise filtration substrates and aquarium substrate. By accelerating the conversion of ammonia (NH₄) to nitrite and nitrate, it significantly reduces the time required to establish a stable nitrogen cycle — protecting livestock from the ammonia spikes that cause the most losses in new aquarium setups. Each gram contains 5 billion active bacteria.

Dosing Instructions

New aquarium setup: Sprinkle 1g (1 level small scoop) per 50 litres onto damp filter media. Wait one hour, then turn on the filter. As a substrate addition: sprinkle 2g (1 level large scoop) per 50 litres onto the base layer, then cover with substrate.

After filter cleaning or water change: Sprinkle 1g (1 level small scoop) per 100 litres onto biological filter media.

Cyanobacteria treatment: Add 1g per 50ml of aquarium water, mix thoroughly, and draw into a syringe. Remove cyanobacteria with a tube, then inject the solution directly into affected areas. Turn off the filter for approximately 10 minutes during this procedure.
